3. Reporting illegal content
If you believe that content on hairlinq.com is illegal, you can report it to us by filling out our contact form here. To help us assess your report quickly and fairly, please include:
a clear explanation of why you consider the content to be illegal;
the exact location of the content, for example the web address (URL) or the name of the clinic listing concerned;
your name and email address, so we can confirm receipt and update you (this is not required where the report concerns certain offences involving children); and
a statement confirming that you believe, in good faith, that the information in your report is accurate and complete.
4. How we handle reports
When we receive a report, we:
send you confirmation of receipt without undue delay, normally within 3 business days;
assess the reported content in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner;
decide what action, if any, to take, and notify you of our decision, normally within 14 days, along with information about how you can respond or seek redress; and
where our assessment involves automated tools, tell you so.
If a report is manifestly unfounded, or is submitted abusively or repeatedly in bad faith, we may decline to process it, and we will say so.
5. If we restrict or remove content
If we remove, disable, restrict, or otherwise act on content you have provided (for example a clinic listing) because we consider it illegal or contrary to our terms, we will give the affected user a statement of reasons. That statement will explain:
what action we have taken and its scope;
the reason for the action, including the legal ground or the term relied on;
whether automated means were used in reaching the decision; and
how the user can contest the decision (see section 6).
This does not apply where the law prevents us from providing such information.
6. If you disagree with a decision
If you disagree with a decision we have made, you can:
Ask us to reconsider. Submit your rejection via the contact form, explain why you think the decision was wrong, and we will review it and respond.
Complain to a supervisory authority. You may lodge a complaint with the Digital Services Coordinator. In the Netherlands this is the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (Autoriteit Consument & Markt, ACM), and you may also complain to the Digital Services Coordinator in your own EU country.
Go to court. You keep the right to bring the matter before a competent court under the applicable law.
7. Changes to this procedure
We may update this procedure from time to time. We will post the current version on this page with an updated date above.
