1. About this statement

This statement explains how HairLinQ uses cookies and similar technologies on hairlinq.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether you are a prospective patient, a clinic, or a general visitor. It should be read together with our Patient Privacy Statement and Clinic Privacy Statement.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, and software development kits. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this statement. They can be set by us ("first-party") or by a third party whose service we use ("third-party"), and they can last only for your session or persist for a set period.

3. How we ask for your consent

• Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot work without them. They do not require your consent.

• All other cookies (for functionality, analytics, and any marketing) are only placed after you give consent through our cookie banner.

• You can accept, reject, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.

5. Third-party cookies

6. Managing your choices ("Cookie settings")

• Cookie settings: a link is available in the site footer and reopens the consent panel, where you can change or withdraw consent by category at any time.

Advice (Cookie settings control): Implement "Cookie settings" as a persistent footer link (and, if you use one, a small re-open control) that reopens the same panel as the banner. It must let a visitor move from "accepted" back to "rejected" in as few steps as it took to accept. This is the withdrawal mechanism the law requires, so it is part of the footer four, next to Privacy, Website Terms, and Legal notice.

7. Cookies and international transfers

Some cookie providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where a provider is located in a country without an EU adequacy decision, that transfer needs a safeguard such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or the provider must be covered by an adequacy framework.
