This notice explains how HairLinQ asks for, and relies on, your consent when you use the service as a prospective patient. You give your consent in the lead form itself. This page explains what that consent covers. For full details of how we handle your data, see our Patient Privacy Statement. HairLinQ is a brand of ScalarRatio LLC, which is the controller of your data.

What you are asked to consent to

When you submit your request. To match you with suitable clinics, HairLinQ processes the information you provide, which can include details about your hair and scalp and any photographs of your head or scalp. This is health data, which receives special protection under data-protection law, so we ask for your explicit consent to process it. You are also asked to confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

When you choose to receive a clinic's quote. Your request is shared with a clinic only when you opt in to receive that clinic's quote. You can be matched with up to six clinics. The clinics are located in Turkey, outside the European Union, which does not have an EU adequacy decision. We therefore ask for your explicit consent to share your details and transfer them to Turkey, and we protect that transfer using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, as described in the Patient Privacy Statement. Once your details reach a clinic, that clinic handles them as an independent controller under its own terms.

Separate and voluntary

These are two separate consents. Each is given by you, freely, and neither is selected in advance. You do not have to give either consent, but we cannot match you without the first, and we cannot pass your request to a clinic without the second.

Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw either consent at any time through our contact form at hairlinq.com/contact. Withdrawing does not affect any processing that already took place before you withdrew it. If your details have already been shared with a clinic, that clinic keeps its own copy, so you would also need to contact that clinic directly about their copy.
